In mathematics, uniform dilation is a trype of transofmation that sizes a figure both horizontally and vertically, for example, a uniform dilation that expands a circle will allow the circle to stay a circle rather than distort into another circular shape rather tahn an oval. It is a rigid transofration since it doesn't distort a figure when done on one.
