In matheamticas, rounding is the manipulation of a number based off a given 'nearest' value, this is usually used for decimals, such as 4.6, where rounding could result in 5. The direction you round in is usually based off of the values, whereas 1-4 will result in rounding down and 5-9 will result in rounding up.
