Outdoor Lunch Options

You can choose one of the options for lunch. There is an early lunch option and two at the end of the tour. We highly encourage one of these options unless you are returning to school for lunch.

Coal Pit at Bailey Power Station

Early lunch option in the Coal Pit in the Bailey Power Station. There are plenty of tables and the only business down there that is open is Cugino Forno.

The tables are open to the public. Please ensure your students are picking up the trash.

Corpening Plaza

Corpening Plaza is located outside the Truist building near City Hall. The plaza is enclosed with seating and a fountain. There is also less foot traffic.

Indoor Lunch Options (Adverse Weather Option Only!)

Please note that adverse weather includes: heavy rain, high winds, thunderstorms, and extreme temperatures. You will have to use your judgement to decide what is safest for staff and students.

The WS/FCS Social Studies department will email you prior to the trip to let you know which indoor lunch option is available for your date.

Please do not choose one as the sites are only available on select dates.
