Raider is the physical fitness and adventure training team of the organization. If you like running around, carrying heavy objects, and negotiating obstacles, you will love Raiders. We organize into two or more teams, typically a male team, a co-ed team, and sometimes a developmental (i.e. JV) team and compete to win against the best teams around. In 2023 our co-ed team finished in 8th place at the 4th Brigade Best-of-the-Best Championships; in 2024, finished 3rd; and in 2025, finished 7th. We earned an invitation to the Army JROTC Raider Nationals in Fall 2023 and finished 7th in the All-Service Division, and returned in 2024 to finish in 5th place
Our season starts for returning Raiders in early August and we add our new Raiders in late August/ early September; we continue through Veterans Day weekend. Highlights include numerous large meets such as East Surry, Fred T. Foard, the WSFCS raider Championship, and the biggest meet of all, Raider Nationals. After taking a well-deserved break, our season resumes after the Winter Holiday and continues through late March with Raider meets at Lee County, and--if we qualify again--the 4th Brigade Best-of-the-Best Championships.
