All of our assignments--classwork, essays, refections, posts, and assesments--are available to our Cadets on CANVAS. So even if the Cadet is absent for one or more days, all the content is accessible and all assignments are turned in electronically.
Our official Learning Management System is PowerSchool. That means a Cadet's official and accurate grades, attendance status, et al can be accessed by students and parents with a valid log on.
Classroom instruction
Using multi-modal teaching, our cadets learn about leadership, citizenship, health fitness & 1st aid, geography, and sevice learning
Hands-on application
Of course Cadets read and write about the topics, but in JROTC we "do" the topic. Whether it's in-class or with a co-curricular team, learning is both thinking and doing
Experiential learning
We go places. Whether it's team building at Miracle Heights Adventures in Winston-Salem, teaching flag protocol at Elementary Schools, or competing on a team anywhere in the country, we don't sit at home
Making a difference
Collectively our cadets volunteer thousands of hours of service in the community at events like the Triad Honor Flight, NC Special Olympics, the Buddy Walk, the ALS 5k, and so many more.
