About a week before auditions and two weeks before festivals, participating students will receive information regarding the specific schedule for B.U.H..S. students.
District Band auditions - This is by teacher recommendation. In order to be considered for one of the top seats in your section, you should audition for Mr. Rice before October 3. Each section will be filled in with students who don't audition but want to be in the district band.
Festival is November 18 and 19 at Brattleboro Union High School
New England Music Festival auditions (Solo and Ensemble Festival) - Saturday, December 4 at Hartford (VT) High School
Concert Festival is March 16-18 in Woodstock, CT
District Jazz Band auditions - Interested students submit an audition video (with Mr. Rice's help) by December 5. The plan is for the entire band to be comprised of students who auditioned. If open seats remain, the band will be filled in with students recommended by their teachers.
Festival is January 27-28 at Bellows Falls Union High School
All State Band, Orchestra, Jazz, Chorus and Scholarship auditions - Saturday, January 14 (Hartford HS)
Festival is May 11-13 (location TBA)
