Highlights from the Job Shadow Experience:

In april we really started the topic of colleges way more in depth, I researched specific factors I wanted in a college, and connected those factors to each college I was considering at the time.

Takeaways from the interviews:

Paths Aren’t Always Straight – Alyssa always knew she wanted to work with animals, while Laurie found her way into the field later. This showed me there are many valid ways to reach the same goal.

Emotional Strength Matters – Both talked about how emotionally heavy the job can be, especially when making hard decisions. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as the work itself.

The Field Is Overworked – Especially in Vermont, there aren’t enough vets, leading to burnout. This made me realize how demanding the job can be in certian areas.
