What worked for me with FLEX was having the ability to choose how I used my time. It gave me more control over my learning and helped me focus on the activities that mattered most to me. When I was motivated and had a clear goal, FLEX allowed me to get a lot done and feel accomplished
What didn’t work for me was staying consistent with my focus and time management. Sometimes I got distracted or didn’t use the time as efficiently as I could have. Without clear structure every day, it was easy to fall behind or lose track of what I needed to do.
I could've created a weekly plan and set a small project/goal to get do weekly. I could've checked in more with myself and to see how much progress I was making. I should have talked with Ms. Thielen more.
I think for me it would have helped to have her check in with me more; though I didn't always make our meeting time.
I learn on my own and prefer having more choices in what I learn. Sometimes I got distracted which meant I didn't always stay on track.
I realized I can set goals for anything in my life - for school, for personal, for business. I learned that self-motivation I can build.
