What is NHS?

A question anyone who wants to join would ask: What is NHS? National Honor Society (NHS) is a respected organization that recognizes high school students who show excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Founded in 1921, NHS encourages students to work hard academically while also helping their school and community. Members are expected to be responsible leaders, participate in service activities, and demonstrate honesty, respect, and good character. Being part of NHS is an honor because it shows that a student is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
