PLEASE NOTE: All students will need a full-size book bag (no wheels). Please no ZIPPER NOTEBOOKS if your child’s grade level is requiring binders. If for any reason purchasing school supplies creates a financial hardship for your family, please contact your school office so that together we can work to obtain needed school supplies.

Snack

For Airoldi AND Higby Classrooms Only

We eat lunch so early! The students are very hungry in the afternoon so to avoid accidentally leaving a snack at home (we don't want any hangry kindergarteners), we are asking for each family to donate one snack per month for the class. We will mix the snacks together so students can choose from a bin of snacks when they come in from recess. If you have a Sams or Costco Membership, you could buy in bulk and that should be enough for 2 months! Prepackaged snacks are preferred but not necessary! No drinks other than spill proof water bottles filled with water only.

Please send your child to school with a water bottle each day so they don't have to use the water fountains!

Birthday

We love celebrating birthdays! Our cafeteria has preapproved treats that you can order 2 weeks in advance. Non-edible treats can be brought in from home. If you are unable to provide treats, we will still enjoy and celebrate your child's special day!

Lunch

We eat at 10:40 every day. If you are sending in lunch money for their account, please fill out a lunch envelope and send it with your child. You can also send money to their account using the Parent Portal.

Please make sure your child can open all the containers in their lunch box independently. There will be adult helpers in the lunchroom, but the more they can do on their own, the more time they will have to eat.
Please help your child practice their lunch number at home, This will help all the children get through the line faster so they have more time to eat.

Arrival/Dismissal

Arrival:

Students may come in the building beginning at 8:05
School starts promptly at 8:25
Parents can walk their child to class the first few days, have your child show you the way

Dismissal:

Afternoon announcements are at 3:15 followed by the release of car riders and walkers to the gym
If you are picking up your child, please have the yellow name card in your car window so teachers are able to get students out to you quickly and safely
Teachers walk the bus riders out each day

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR CHILDS TEACHER AND THE OFFICE IF YOU ARE CHANGING HOW THEY GET HOME. WE CANNOT SEND THEM A DIFFERENT WAY WITHOUT HEARING FROM YOU.
