I am so excited to get to know you and your family! This is my 15th year teaching, all of my time teaching has been in kindergarten. I am so lucky! I love teaching kindergarten! This is my 8th year at Green Tree. I love being a part of the Green Tree family! I went to Mizzou where I received my B.S in Elementary Education, and certification in Early Childhood Education. Later, I attended Lindenwood and graduated with a M.A. in Specialized Reading. I also hold a certficate for Math Coaching + Specialized instruction. Before coming to the Wentzville School District I taught in Pattonville for 7 years. I was also a parent educator, with Wentzville, for 2 years.
My Family: My husband Kurt and I have been married 16 years! We have 2 kids, Ella and Jake. Ella is in 7th grade and Jake is in 3rd - he attends GTE with me!
A Few of My Favorite Things:
Color - Pink and sparkles!
Food - sushi, chocolate chip cookies
Drink - Cherry Pepsi, Sweet Tea
Sports Teams: Cardinals, Mizzou, Blues
Hobbies: Watching our favorite sports teams (including our son's baseball team!) spending time with family, traveling, supporting and advocating with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Our family was one of their national champion families for 2024. You have possibly seen my daughter's face around! We are very proud of her and our son!

We eat lunch so early! The students are very hungry in the afternoon so to avoid accidentally leaving a snack at home (we don't want any hangry kindergarteners), I am asking for each family to donate one snack per month for the class. I will mix the snacks together so students can choose from a bin of snacks when they come in from recess. If you have a Sams or Costco Membership, you could buy in bulk and that should be enough for 2 months! Prepackaged snacks are preferred but not necessary! No drinks other than spill proof water bottles filled with water only.
