Twinery

Twinery is an online tool that is perfect for creating "choose your own adventure" type stories. Students plan their stories using a digital graphic organizer and can switch to "Play" mode to make them easily readable by teachers and peers. Teachers who have used Twinery in the past have used a gallery walk to allow students in the class to view each other's stories and then required students to answer questions about their peers' stories while participating in the gallery walk.

Possible Classroom Applications:

In the past, students have used Twinery to:

• Write their own "hero's journey" stories (Missy Gehrke's idea!)
• Write "choose your own adventure" stories in German, Spanish and French

Twinery would be a great tool for students to use to rewrite historical events or rewrite the end of an existing story. Science students might also use it to show how different actions affect the outcome of an experiment/lab.
