Google Expeditions

With the Google Expeditions app, a VR headset, and a mobile device, you and your students can visit hundreds of different locations from Mount Everest to a sunken shipwreck. Each expedition comes equipped with guiding questions for the instructor, allowing him/her to lead students through the expedition and share important information about the location. At the present time, we must work with our technology coaches to carry out an expedition as they will provide the VR headsets the wifi hotspot. See a list of available expeditions here.

Possible Classroom Applications:

• Students can explore locations they study as part of the curriculum, for example, historical and literary locations
• Students can learn about the impact of deadly diseases & natural disasters
• Students can take a field trip without the hassle or expense!
