Returning Players & New Prospects

Senior, Hailey Zayac, Center 5'11 will be playing her 3rd year on Murdoch's varsity team and 2nd year as captain. Hailey is a natural leader on and off the court, her presence keeps the team calm and paced. As a dual athlete her volleyball blocking skills show in her defence in the paint. 

Senior, Awel Maciek, Power Forward 5'11 will be playing her 2nd year on Murdoch's varsity team and also captain of the team. Her competitiveness has pushed her to elevate her game, scoring double digits in all her games so far pre-season. 

Senior, Aurora Montrone, Shooting guard 5'5 has joined the varsity team for the first time as she is an international student from Italy. Give her space on the court and her shot will fall through silently. 

Junior, Marley Morrison, Center 5'9 first year on varsity has not only shown that she is an amazing communicator but once she gets the ball in the paint she goes to work and makes magic happen. 

Junior, Hannah Raynbird, Point Guard/Shooting Guard 5'6 not only is she able to find space on the floot to score, but Hannah loves to give her teammates the opportunity to score as much as she does. Defensively, Hannah causes defensive stops that turn into free points. 

Teams Play Style

Our team's style of playing is being aggressive offensively, making sure we go up to the rim as many times as we can to make the easy basket or to draw fouls. Defensively, we put pressure on teams to run their shot clock and force shots that can turn the possession into a transition game.

Our team's top 3 goals for this year are:

• To place top 3 in the majority of our tournaments

• To finish first in KPAC (regular season)

• To win a KPAC Banner.
