Mathematics

In mathematics, students will experience the following 4 strands through hands-on activities, inquiry and written work. Mental math and problem solving skills are taught on a daily basis throughout the year.

-Number (place value, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)

-Patterns and Relations (patterns; variables and equations)

-Shape and Space (measurement; 3D objects and 2D shapes; transformations)

-Statistics and Probability (data analysis)
