About Ms.Johnson

Hello!

For the past 15 years, I have enjoyed teaching Grades 5 and 6 here at Greenway School. Throughout those years, it has been a pleasure getting to know our families and sometimes teaching many siblings! I hold a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta.

Prior to teaching, I showed and trained horses for over 20 years and gained my NCCP Coaching Level 1 in Equestrian. My work with horses has taught me humility and patience. Currently, my interests are in the Martial Arts and I am proud to hold a blue stripe in Taekwondo. I also thoroughly enjoy dabbling in DIY home improvements.

Fun Fact: In 2016, I was lucky enough to help build a school called Cecaini in Constanza, Dominican Republic. It is now fully operational and full of Kindergarten to Grade 6 students! This was all thanks to Lifetouch, the very company that takes our school pictures every year.
