To support your kindergarten student in early literacy skills: talk with your child (with back and forth dialogue), read to your child, sing and play with the sounds in words (determine rhyming words and say tongue twisters), and allow your child to write and draw (ex: crayons, pencils, sidewalk chalk, watercolors, etc.).
