The GFESC Early Childhood Program provides special education services for three to five year old children who have disabilities. The services are offered in accordance with the Individual with Disabilities Education Act, 1997 (IDEA) on behalf of the public schools.
Services provided include screening, evaluation, speech/language therapy, developmental instruction, physical/occupational therapy, and other services as needed at no cost to the family.

DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS: The Guy Fenter Education Service Cooperative – Early Childhood Program announces that it will be destroying records of children who were dismissed from preschool special education services during the 2018-2019 school terms, according to state and federal guidelines. Parents have the right to review and request copies of these records before they are destroyed. These records may be needed for social security benefits or other purposes. The records will be available for viewing through July 1, 2025 at the Guy Fenter Education Service Co-op in Branch, AR. They will be destroyed July 2, 2025. If you wish to view your child’s records please call Gwen Couthren, EC Coord. at 965-2191, ext 275 to schedule an appointment. THESE RECORDS ARE NOT YOUR CHILD’S PERMANENT SCHOOL RECORDS. THEY ARE SPECIAL EDUCATION DUE PROCESS FORMS AND RECORDS.
