Parents and students, please take a look at the handbook for this year (linked above). Paper copies are being handed out in class and the contract on the last page must be signed and returned to Ms. Finch or Mr. Hilkert. If you are in both band and chorus, you only need to submit the contract once.
Below is the rotation for ensembles on Fridays for 2025-26. Please make sure to note which ensemble you have each Friday!

Performance Attire
Our performances are the pinnacle of immense efforts in progress and collaboration. Therefore we ask the WRVMS musicians to dress in accordance with the level of celebration the event deserves. Performance attire is described below. Musicians must be in concert dress to participate in the performance. The White River Valley Performing Arts Boosters are committed to providing these items if they pose a financial burden. Musicians may choose from the following:
Long sleeved black/white dress shirt
Tie/scarf (Optional)
Long solid black skirts/dresses
Black dress pants
Black socks
Black Belt
Nicest shoes possible
WRVMS dress code applies
Middle School Jazz Band
Middle school jazz band is going to be offered as a club this year. It will meet Wednesday's after school until 4:30.
Our 1st rehearsal is tomorrow 11/5 after school!
If you are interested in joining, please see Mr. Hilkert!
7th/8th Band Halloween Parade Interest Form - 7th/8th grade band students have been given a Google form to fill out to see if they are interested in possibly performing with the HS band for the Rutland Halloween Parade. If there's enough interest from both groups, we'll put everyone together and go!
Middle School music lessons have begun! Parents, please make sure to remind your students to check outside their homerooms in the morning! Passes are put in a "Band Pass" pouch so that students can show their teacher and come to lessons. Ms. Barb, Scott, Ms. Finch and Mr. Hilkert are all teaching lessons and it's super important that the students come to them!!!
Instrument demos are happening this week! We will be doing demos at Bethel on Thursday morning and we are still figuring out demos at the Royalton campus (they will be either Thursday or Friday).
The add/drop period for band and chorus is this Friday Sept. 5, 2025. Your students have until then to decide what they are going to do.

Beginning Band - Instrument demos are happening at BES and SoRo this week and next week for 4th and 5th grade students. Forms will be sent home for students to sign up if they would like to participate. The information can also be found here:
