Student Beekeeping Permission Form

The Southwick School apiary began in the spring of 2019 after a growing interest was identified among students. The school changed mascots to the honey bee and realigned the school rules from the ABC model to the 3 "bee" model. Beekeeping at Southwick has become core to our school identity. Much of this interest, as well as the STEAM program, are the direct result of our former principal, the late Dr. Eric Keck. Please consider visiting and donating to the Eric Keck Memorial Foundation.

Southwick students visit our apiary on a voluntary basis to promote bee colony health, gain hands of understanding of this fascinating hobby, and to understand the full life cycle of insects.
