Birds of a feather, flock together!

-Write about birds you have seen and what they are doing. Draw a picture to go with your writing.

-Heads & Tails Number Bonds

Materials: 7 pennies, print or draw number bond mat & recording sheet like in the link below.

Shake the pennies in your hand or in a cup. Drop them on the table. Place all the heads in one part and all the tails in the other part of the number bond mat. Write your parts in a number bond on the recording sheet. Move your parts to the whole. Write your whole on the recording sheet. Keep playing until the recording sheet is full.

-Write about something you can count and how many you counted. Draw a picture and write the number.

-Number Bond game

Material: Dominoes or 2 Dice; paper, chalk board, or dry erase board; and writing tool.

Draw a number bond. Take a domino or roll the dice. Put the first number in one part and the second number in the other part. Add the two numbers together and write the answer in the whole. Repeat.

-On a blank piece of paper, draw 10 different sized circles. Using coins or whatever you have around the house that is similar, count how many coins it takes to fill each of the circles.

Kindness Matters!

Make some number cards 0-7 or add the number 7 to last week's “Making 6” card game. (Make 1 set with numbers. One set with dots like a dice & ones set with tallie marks. Don’t forget blank cards for 0 dots & tallies.)

Shuffle all your cards together and place face down. Take 2 cards. If they equal 7, keep them. If they don’t, put one back in the pile and take 1 more. See how many pairs of 7 you can make.
