1. Brainpop - watch a video and try to complete some of the activities that go with them!
2. Mystery Science - while some of these activities require materials, Mystery Doug is always fascinating!
3. Crash Course Kids (YouTube) - their channel has many different topics you can learn about!
4. IXL - practice any targeted math skill, from any grade level! You will then get instant feedback on your work! I LOVE IXL because if you get it wrong, it will tell you why!
5. We Are Teachers - Virtual Social Studies Tours - take a tour of a historic museum from the comfort of your own home!
6. Poetry.org - Read a poem! Inspired? Try to write your own!

You don't need to know your Lexile number to use this great resource! Just select 5th grade from the drop down menu and select whether you think the books in school are too hard, just right or too easy! Then, select genres that you like to read and a list of suggestions should appear!
