Summer Program FAQ

Q: How long do programs run?

A: We run programs starting July 4 to August 25, and most programs run one day a week.

Q: Is transportation provided?
A: Unfortunately we do not provide transportation to or from programs. We do try to offer programs in a variety of locations.

Q: My child is not a WRPS student, can they still attend?
A: Absolutely! Our community programs are open to everyone.

Q: My child is not at the recommended age level, can they still participate?
A: Our programs come with age guidelines but they are not set in stone. We realize that every child develops at a different rate. If you think your child would enjoy a program but they aren't in the recommended age range, just reach out to us! Some programs can be easily adapted for older/younger children.

Q: My child has anxiety about attending programs, can they still attend?
A: Absolutely! If you need to attend the first session with them or stick around with your child for the first half hour, we can accommodate. We work regularly with children who have all different types of needs and want our programs to be as open and accommodating as possible. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Q: The program I'm interested in says "Location TBD" what does that mean?
A: We try to run programs in a variety of locations across Wetaskiwin and all of Wetaskiwin County. Sometimes we rely on community partners to let us share their space to offer programs. "Location: TBD" just means that we need to confirm with our partner. Locations should be finalized by June 1.
