Meet the Team
Whitney Fox
Program Manager
Whitney coordinates and supervises the work of the WRPS Wellness Support Team. Originally from Airdrie, she completed her BSc Spec. in Psychology at the University of Alberta, and comes from a background in research and marketing.
Whitney sits on a variety of committees, working on initiatives that focus on community wellbeing. She spends her spare time working as a copy editor, reading, and cooking.
Natalie Peek
Wellness Coach
Natalie grew up in Millet. She completed the Social Work Diploma program at Red Deer College, is a Registered Social Worker and is currently working on her BSW. She has always desired to work with children in a school setting. Natalie enjoys singing, thrift shopping and cooking.

Emily grew up in Wetaskiwin. She received her BA from the University of Calgary, with a major in Psychology and minor in Indigenous Studies. She has background in addictions and Indigenous ways of knowing. Her hobbies include hiking, being outdoors, spending time with her cat, and drinking tea.

Casandra Wood
Wellness Coach
Casandra has joined our team as a Wellness Coach this year, after spending Summer 2021 and 2022 as our summer student. She completed BSc with a major in Psychology with a minor in Biology at the University of British Columbia. She enjoys working with kids, and loves thrift shopping and garage sale-ing.

Aliya grew up in Wetaskiwin, and graduated from WCHS. She is a Registered Social Worker and used to work with seniors at the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories. She joins us with loads of enthusiasm and excitement.

Sai recently joined our team as Wellness Coach. She completed BSc with a major in Psychology with minors in Business and Biology at Grant MacEwan University.

Peyton Schneider
Wellness Coach
Peyton is originally from Drayton Valley. Peyton completed her BA in Psychology at Grant MacEwan University, and is currently working on her Master of Counselling. She enjoys spending time with kids, and reading. Peyton's claim to fame is reaching level 10,000 in Candy Crush.

Mariah is currently on maternity leave. We hope she enjoys her time with her family's new addition!
MHCB Staffing Model
The MHCB staffing model includes a full time Program Manager and several Wellness Coaches
MHCB team members work within school settings to:
Deliver mental health promotion and prevention programming including presentations to students, staff, parents and/or other community members that increase wellbeing, resilience, protective factors, promote early identification of issues and address risk factors;
Build capacity in others, who work with children, youth and families, to deliver wellness presentations and programming;
Organize and facilitate school and community wide Mental Health events and awareness campaigns;
Facilitate access to students for other community partners (eg. school police liaison officers);
Connect students to community mental health supports and services;
Collaborate with service providers in the community to maximize service efficiencies and to advocate for unmet mental health needs for children and families;
Share and exchange knowledge and resources between MHCB Programs through the MHCB Community of Practices established across the province.
