Once a week through nomination, 1 student is selected to be featured on WCI social media and on our Viking Of The Week photo gallery!

WHEN? DECEMBER
Holidays Are For Helping is a school-wide event lasting the month of December! The goal is raising money/items for local organizations such as charities, homeless shelters and more!
WHEN? EVERY OTHER MAY
Relay For Life is a student body favourite for events! This event takes place over an evening period, team members take turns walking laps of the track to demonstrate the never-ending battle with cancer. Each team raises as much money as they can, and in the end our school donates all funds to the Canadian Cancer Society for further cancer research!
WHEN? DECEMBER
The Wellness Committee and other ABCD members come into school and cook breakfast for our staff as a way to say thank you!
WHEN? EVERY FRIDAY
Your Wellness committee sorts through and recycles each classroom's bins during first period!
WHEN? NOVEMBER & FEBRUARY
School-wide events such as assemblies, pink shirt day, and random acts of kindness are run to raise awareness AND put a stop to bullying.
WHEN? SEPTEMBER
A day when students and staff wear orange as a way to raise awareness and educate ourselves about native residential schools and the impact they had on the indigenous community.
WHEN? APRIL
A fundraiser to support our Nutrition for Learning Program, a program that has the goal of ensuring no students go to school hungry.
WHEN? THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Students bring in gently used clothing to give back to our local community. As a way to get students excited, we run competitions between homerooms to see which class can donate the most! Winning class gets a surprise!
WHEN? OCTOBER
A school-wide food drive in order to support our local Food Bank! Bring in canned food items to donate.
WHEN? MAY
Fun activities that promote mental health and positivity!
WHEN? FEBRUARY & JUNE
Leading up to exams, life can get stressful for students. This week is a way to help students de-stress for their upcoming exams!
