Events
Semi-Formal
When: February
What: The annual semi-formal is a fun dance where students can dress up and have a good time with their friends. Every year is a new theme. This year's theme was "Welcome to the Grammy's".
Grade 9 Party
When: September
What: Grade 9 party is one of the most exciting events of the year. This is a fun night of interactive games and dancing to get to know your other classmates! This is meant for grade 9's only, but students from other grades help run the event. This is a great way to get involved early in the school year!
Spirit Assemblies
When: September, November, February, April
What: Spirit assemblies are a way to bring the school together to celebrate and support sports teams, other artistic performances, and to get information on large upcoming events. These happen 4 times a year and involve dance performances, different grade challenges, highlight videos, and singing school cheers.
Cafeteria Games
When: all year (look out for posters and announcements around the school)
What: Cafeteria games are a great way to get involved with the school and showcase your skills in a variety of fun games. These are fun and easy challenges that occur throughout the year and you have the chances to win prizes! Some games include March Madness basketball week, lettuce eating competitions, Pi day, trivia week and more.
Grade 8 Orientation
When: August/September
What: Grade 8 orientation is a day for our future grade 9 students to get to know WCI a little better. From tours around the school, to getting lockers and schedules, this day is meant to get future Vikings comfortable in a new environment. This also gives them a chance to meet people in their homerooms and ask questions about anything they want to know about WCI and the high school.
Specialty Days
When: all year (look out for posters and announcements around the school)
What: Specialty days are fun and easy ways for students to participate in small events and to stay connected within the WCI community. These days include crazy hair day, pajama day, Hawaiian shirt day, red white and blue day, jersey day, and more.
