This year, the students will be learning some important financial literacy skills as they participate in our classroom economy. It is never too early to start learning financial responsibility. Students will earn classroom money for jobs and for going above and beyond by showing leadership skills, helping others, and staying on the right track. In turn, students may be fined for not meeting classroom expectations. Students will apply for a job of their choosing (for example, the banker, the librarian, etc.) which will pay them a fair salary. After paying rent for their desk space each month, students can save the rest of their money to use at the Classroom Store.
I am always looking for donations to help stock the classroom store. I really prefer not to sell candy or food items in the store. If you would like to donate items to our classroom store, please reach out to me : stephanie_stone@wrdsb.ca
