Good readers listen to their reader's voice to help them make sense of what they read. Over the next few weeks we will be working on identifying our reader's voice and becoming aware of our understanding.

Once you are there, scroll down to the bottom and follow the instructions for signing in to Our Classroom Library
You have some time in class to search the classroom library and to request a book to read. If you can't find a book that you are interested in try the Overdrive library or ask Ms. Hemingway for a recommendation
Your writer's notebook will be a place where we work on the craft of writing, practice developing our ideas and working on drafts. We will also use it to practice our grammar each day. You will need your writer's notebook EVERY DAY. Today we will be setting up your notebook.
Ms. Hemingway went through this in class on the document camera but if you didn't get a chance to finish you can check the photos below for instructions.
Your first task in your writer's notebook is to create a list on the first page of topics that you can write about if you are stuck. You will continue to add to this list over the course of the year.
