Students will be introduced to the basics of photography. They will learn about camera settings and functions and how to adjust these settings to capture a well exposed photograph. They will also be taught framing techniques and compositional rules to improve the quality and creativity of their photos.
Students will be introduced to photo editing using Adobe Lightroom. They will also be introduced to Adobe Photoshop for more advanced photo manipulation. Creative assignments include digital mash-ups, spot colour photography and merging drawings with photographs.
Students will be introduced to graphic design and typography concepts. They will explore current trends in graphic design, and learn to apply the basic rules of effective layout and design
