Woodville Families,

We’ve made it through the first full month of school!  Woohoo!

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend last week’s Parent Coffee. It was our most well-attended Parent Coffee in two years at Woodville, and we truly appreciate the strong turnout and thoughtful feedback from our community. A special thank you as well to our Facilities Director, Tim O’Brien, and BOND Superintendents Jerry Hammersley and Stephanie Crapeau for joining us and helping to provide additional context and information.

During the Parent Coffee, we reviewed the upcoming arrival plan and gathered valuable feedback regarding safety, parking, traffic flow, and other community concerns. As discussed, our plan is to discontinue use of the side drop-off area on Steve Gates Way beginning November 1 and direct all arrival traffic to the front of the building.

Under the new plan, buses will utilize designated staff parking areas, allowing all vehicle traffic to use the bus loop at the front of the building. As we begin implementing the new arrival procedures, we will closely monitor how the plan is working and make adjustments as needed to ensure the process is as safe and efficient as possible.  For your reference, we have attached the arrival plan reviewed at the Parent Coffee. Please take a few minutes to review it and familiarize yourself with the updated traffic flow. We appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, and partnership as we work through this transition.

PHASE 2 - Bus Circulation Arrival 

We will begin DIBELS testing this week.  For those unfamiliar with the assessment, students meet with a member of the reading team to assess foundational reading and literacy progress.  This information is collected and utilized to gain an understanding of where each student stands at the beginning of the year and create a growth plan for all.  We will be sharing results with families by the end of the month.
