Woodville Families,

It looks like we are in for a mini May heat wave! Please double check the weather each morning and always send your child to school with a water bottle.

Most students have completed Math MCAS testing, with a few makeups scheduled for early this week. A big shout out to our students for their hard work, determination, and use of problem-solving strategies throughout the assessment. We are excited to see the results and look forward to celebrating this group’s accomplishments once the information is released.

On Thursday, we will have a Memorial Day assembly at our school. This is an opportunity for students to learn more about the upcoming holiday and hear from a member of our school community regarding their service and its connection to our school’s core values. We are proud to invite Mr. Ish Laboy, father of Julian Laboy and former Marine Corps reservist, to speak with our students. Thank you, Mr. Laboy, and we look forward to hearing from you on Thursday!

On Friday, I will be hosting a parent coffee @9am. This is an informal meeting and meant to serve as time to connect regarding the school year, and any feedback you may have. Additionally, we will have a couple of teachers join us to talk about curriculum.

As we approach the end of the school year, please note the dates and times for upcoming field trips, musical performances, field day, and other special events. This final stretch of the school year is always filled with excitement and memorable experiences for our students, and we appreciate your support in helping them arrive prepared and ready to participate.
