Safety Drills on Thursday, 10/9
On Thursday morning, we will practice our “Shelter in place” and “Lockdown” procedures. During these drills, I will use this script and come over the loudspeaker to explain what is happening. Teachers in classrooms will review these slides with students ahead of the drills. We will then practice a “Shelter in place” and a “Lockdown” so that students are familiar with these procedures in case we ever need to use them as safety measures in the future. The key point we emphasize with students is that we practice these procedures to make sure that we know how to listen to teachers and follow directions to keep each other safe. If you have questions about this, please feel free to reach out.
