Announcements

First Community Gathering

We had a great first community gathering of the school year last week. We talked

about the Wildcat Way, celebrated September/October birthdays, and chose our

first principal for the day, who will be Gigi Vasapoli from Mrs. Rotiroti’s class.

Congratulations to Gigi! Student council members in fourth grade will lead our

next community gathering to teach our school about our first Wildcat Way

promise, Be Kind.

Walk to School Day

Our fall 2026 Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day is coming up on Wednesday, 10/07.

Join the fun and use people-powered transit to get to school and help your child's

classroom win the coveted Golden Sneaker Award for most students participating!

Please note: Davidson Road will be closed on this day and there will be no rolling

car arrival. Interested in volunteering to make this event great? Please email

Kate.h.bednar@gmail.com. A few parent volunteers are needed to help with set

up, check in, and clean up. Commitment is from ~8-8:15 a.m. until 9 a.m. and

volunteers must adhere to the school's background check policies.

Evacuation Drill on Thursday, October 8th

We will have a school-wide evacuation drill Thursday morning from 9:15-10:30.

This means that we start with a normal school fire drill, assemble outside the

building, and then practice walking along our evacuation route to the Senior

Center at 30 Converse St. After we make it to the Senior Center, we will walk back

to Walton and have a normal school day. The purpose of the drill is to make sure

that our staff and students are familiar with our plan if we ever needed to

evacuate the building. Feel free to reach out with questions.
