Science Olympiad
The Science Olympiad team is full of Galvin Students who participate in training and preparing for competitions which have over 23 individual/team events. These events reflect the ever changing nature of genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, geology, mechanical engineering and technology. For the past few years, the Galvin Middle School has hosted warm-up meets with other communities in preparation for the state tournament in the Spring. Please contact coach Christopher Gorski for more information about this club.
Science Club
Science Club is an opportunity for students to develop a genuine interest in science and scientific activities, supplementing the work of science classrooms. Science Club members conduct experiments, participate in community activities such as STEAM night and Science Olympiad. Students engage with fellow club members in conversation about science. Science Club members tend to be problem-solvers with scientific attitudes and an interest in innovation and advancement in the field of science! Please contact advisor Becky Lamarre for more information about this club.
Environmental Advocacy Club
EAC is a school-based group focusing on the education, protection and improvement of the environment on a community-wide level. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment for students to voice their opinions/thoughts on a range of environmental issues. The types of projects/initiatives we pursue include partnering with Tree Plenish and to provide volunteers for community service events. We also want to raise awareness about how we as students can lessen our impact on climate change. Please contact advisor Meg Leahy for more information about this club.
The following classes require completion of summer assignments which will be due at the beginning of the next school year.
