My inspiration was Kara from Ohu Effects. I am portraying black holes. I used sketchpad. Sending the files to Nik was a challenge - Hanna B
We are doing art about black holes and plants growing, like flowers and trees. We have been using Silk, Sketchpad, Giphy, and FlipAnim. We also use garage-band on an iPad to make audio. Our black hole one is called Black Hole, and our nature one is called Growth. We love doing digital art! - Avery D and Naomi K
For my digital art I have made two animations. My first animation was about a seed growing little roots that were sticking up to the surface of the ground and growing then blooming into red flowers. The inspiration for that was I had seen some cool digital artwork about flowers and other plants growing in time-lapse. I thought that looked pretty cool so I tried it out on FlipAnim and it was actually really easy and fun. For my second animation I portrayed the Big Bang and the creation of the universe and the milky way. It started off as a black screen but about a second later a giant explosion lit up the screen, and I drew the milky way expanding to a big size. Then I showed all the planets in the solar system and showed them all lined up in their order. I also started to zoom in on earth to show New Zealand, and portrayed life like trees and the growth of plants. My inspiration for that was our space inquiry for Term 3 - Angus S
My inspiration was Semiconductor and Len Lye. I made a gif of a black hole growing bigger. I used electricity for audio and it looked and sounded really good with my black hole. The audio was really hard to make and it took me a few goes to get it right. I made a lot of black holes but I thought the Silk one would go good with the audio I made. I planned to make a lightning sound and the electricity sounded like it was the closest I could get. I portrayed the black holes by making the black hole on Silk because it helped me form the black hole a bit easier - Ethan F
I made a video on FlipAnim (Anim is short for animation) about a black hole forming, then a meteor going in the black hole. FlipAnim is a website where you can draw lots of pictures and put them together. Then it looks like animated because it plays one drawing after an other. It's kind of like FPS (FPS is short for Frames Per Second) on a computer. I was inspired to make the FlipAnim by our space inquiry. I also made a picture with Silk. Silk is also a website but you can draw something like a spiral and you can change the colour - Lachlan C
For my first two animations I portrayed growth. I portrayed growth because I am inspired by how plants grow up when they're older, just like us humans. For my third animation I portrayed a star exploding into a black hole. I was inspired by how a star actually dies. For my last two animations I portrayed the Big Bang. I portrayed that idea because some people think that that’s how the universe was formed. We used the tools Sketchpad, Silk, FlipAnim, Giphy, and GarageBand. I used sketchpad to draw the ideas I am portraying, Giphy to insert and put the images together and creating animations, then GarageBand to make audio to go with each animation - Hunter T
