My art is based on black holes. Our inspiration was Semiconductor. We went to City Gallery and saw their work. I also made one about flowers growing. It was hard using the digital tools Silk because I had never used it before. I had to learn and I did, but it made it a bit challenging! It was fun making these and I hope I can do it again - Dylan

My first art piece that I made was based on a black hole. My inspiration was black hole pictures and star clusters. I used Silk to make the black hole. I used lots of different colours including black, purple orange and more. My second and third art pieces are based on planets and star clusters. My second one is based on a star cluster and my third piece is a planet being formed. My inspiration was Semiconductor - Izar M
When we started we thought that we should portray flowing water, and that's what we did. Our pieces are all about the fact that water can go anywhere. We have been using Silk and GarageBand. WeaveSilk is an app that allows you to draw and design spirograph style art on a device. GarageBand is an app that can be downloaded on iPads and Macbooks. It allows you to record, experiment with and compose songs. When we first made our art work it was not possible to record silk and put it onto I-movie. We then worked out that if we record the screen and then crop out the non silk parts we were able to successfully record the silk videos - Edward & Elliot
Firstly, welcome to our Arts Celebration. It's a pleasure to have you. I have done a piece of artwork about a life cycle. I did another one about a caterpillar, a bird and a cat, too. It's basically about birth and death. I also did two more using Silk - one portrays stars colourfully and the other is a glowing blue, purple and pink bat - Charlotte Jane
