Sinque Tavares

Sinque is a Choreographer/Dancer out of New Haven, CT who presents his artistry mainly out of New York City. He’s a faculty teacher at Brickhouse NYC as well as the founder/director of two local dance crews The Hott Boyz and The Hott Girlz; who have gone on to win multiple awards at World Of Dance and Prelude Dance Competition. His credits include artist and tv shows such as Kendrick Lamar (Super Bowl 2025), Jennifer Hudson, Saucy Santana, Dreamdoll, and The Equalizer. He’s also has had the fortunate opportunity to have gone viral multiple times on TikTok/Instagram with his choreography to “Top of Cars” by Lil Mu, “Wall To Wall” by Chris Brown, “My House” by Beyoncé, “What It Is” by Doechii, and “What Is The Feeling” from Wicked. Sinque lives and breathes the art of dance/performance and wants to spread his knowledge of being a performer to as many people as he can so they too can to be a star and shine just as bright.

Brigit McNamara

Brigit is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer who found a home in the JOM dance community after graduating college. She started her dance journey at just five years old as a competitive Irish dancer, and continued for eleven years until she eventually transitioned to more expressive styles as an adult. Brigit fell in love with training in heels, and has also trained in contemporary, street jazz, vogue, hip hop, whacking, and pole. She was a part of Urban Empire DC hip hop team for a year, and performed in Mitchell Kelly’s Jewels Live show this past year where she grew tremendously in her heels technique. She has taught all ages at various studios throughout the DMV and always emphasizes the importance of foundations, mobility, and proper conditioning in each style.

Princess Johari Shreeves

Born and raised in the vibrant DMV area, Johari Shreeves has dedicated her life to the art of dance. Her formal training began in early childhood, attending performing arts schools from kindergarten through high school, where she studied ballet, modern, and jazz. Johari performed for six years with the acclaimed Marcellus Dance Company, where her passion for performance evolved into a passion for teaching. She began as a teacher assistant in youth classes and went on to serve as a choreographer assistant to BET’s Born to Dance winner, Latonya Swann. In that role, she collaborated with various local artists and studios, including Ressa Renee and Culture Shock. Since 2014, Johari has been a beloved ballet instructor with TippiToes DC, working with young dancers across the Capitol Hill area and within DC Public Schools. Her teaching experience extends to musical theatre choreography for Two Rivers Middle School and directing talent shows at Kelly Miller Middle School, always with the goal of inspiring confidence and creativity through movement. Johari is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, continuing to expand her craft and deepen her impact as a teaching artist and choreographer.

Erica Anderson

Erica spent six seasons as a Washington Commanders Cheerleader, serving as a captain for three of those years, and had the honor of representing the organization as a 2024 Pro Bowl Cheerleader.
In addition to her NFL experience, she danced one season with the Atlanta Hawks, further expanding my professional performance background. Erica's dance journey began in majorette dance and continued at the collegiate level as a member of the Essence of Troy, where she performed for four seasons as part of the marching band.

Shyanne Ricchiuto

Shyanne is a former Baltimore Ravens Cheerleader, where she spent five seasons performing on NFL sidelines and served as a two year team captain. During her time with the Ravens, she was honored as a Pro Bowl nominee and had the opportunity to travel overseas on two military Tours, performing for and connecting with U.S. service members.She now serves as the Maryland Division Director for the USA Cheerleaders Dance Team, where she leads dancers in performances, appearances, and community events supporting military members, veterans, first responders, and their communities.Shyanne is passionate about helping dancers build confidence, sharpen their performance quality, and develop the clean, powerful style needed for pom and sideline dance. She’s excited to bring her professional experience, energy, and love of performing into this class!

James Jones

James Adam is a dynamic hip-hop dance instructor and professional performer with elite-level experience on major stages. A former Washington Wizards NBA dancer for three years, James Adam has performed for the 44th President of the United States, alongside recording artist T.I., and with the renowned TCB gogo band. Trained in all styles of hip-hop—including breaking and Beat Ya Feet—and an alumni of Elements Dance Company, James Adam brings a powerful blend of technical skill, performance excellence, and authentic street style to every class, inspiring dancers to grow in confidence, creativity, and stage presence.

Keyante Watkins

Keyante Watkins, I am a 5x NBA Dancer, 1 Year Captain, 3 Yr WNBA and NBA Assistant Coach, Former CEO & Artistic Director of a performing arts company that i founded and ran for 4 years in Columbus, OH. I’ve also had opportunities to choreograph scenes for television shows such as Chad on TBS Network, Shrill on Hulu and more. I am looking for an either a permanent job position within Joy of Motion or a chance to teach classes. I can offer Intermediate- Advanced Hip-Hop & Street Jazz.

Erica Powe is trained in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater and hip hop dance. She began dancing at Creative Dance Center at the age of 3 under the direction of Joyce Mosso Stokes and Shawn Cosby. She has also trained at the Dance Theater of Harlem DC residency program as well as their summer intensives. She has also trained at the Atlanta Ballet, The Washington School of Ballet and the Dance Institute of Washington. Erica graduated from Baltimore School for the Arts and went on to study dance at SUNY Purchase College and Towson University. She graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Bowie State University. She is currently a professional dancer, dance teacher and is the Artistic Director of Improveogprahy; a new dance style, blending improvisation & choreography together, while embracing individuality, artistry & structure.

Nia Lonette

Nia Lonette, a talented dancer, model, and choreographer originally from Temple Hills, Maryland, made the move to California in 2017 to pursue her passion for the entertainment industry. Since then, she has had the privilege of collaborating with renowned artists such as Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Kali Uchis, Ciara, Kem, and prestigious brands like Tiffany & Co. Nia not only showcases her skills as a dancer but also as a model and choreographer. Her goal is to create art that tells enduring stories and resonates with audiences on a deep emotional level. Nia's mantra is for both her art and the artist to always "Be The Moment."
