Registration, Fees, Attendance, Cancellations & Refunds:
Students must register prior to attending classes, walk-ins are not guaranteed. Weekly Enrollment class registration is due at enrollment. FX Fusion Expo drop-in class registration is due 3 hours before class. Workshop and Master Class registration is due 24 hours before the workshop. Performance registration is due 24 hours before the first rehearsal. Private lesson registration is due 2 weeks before the first lesson.
Payments are due at time of registration or enrollment. We do not accept any "promise to pay" or payment plan request. Students will not be permitted to take class until payment is made in full.
Arrive on time; late arrivals up to 15 minutes may be admitted at the teacher’s discretion. Students who 16 or more minutes late, will not be permitted to enter class, no refund or credit will be issued.
Notify our office via email 12 hours in advanced to cancel or reschedule your class by way of class credit. Attempts to cancel classes via voicemails, social media messaging, or text / chat messages are not accepted. Class credits are valid 1 month from purchase date and may be used for any class of equal or lesser value.
Woolfolk Academy of Dance does not issue refunds for any class, event or performance for any reason, unless WAD cancels and is unable to reschedule the class, event or performance.
Age requirement:
Students must be 18 years old or older to participate an any adult class, workshop, master class or other offering. Activities that are open to all ages will be advertised and promoted as such. Only underaged students with approval from our Director may participate in adult activities; and if approved, must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If you are a student who is underage or a parent/guardian of an underaged student who would like to participate in an adult engagement please email our office for potential approval (approval is not guaranteed).
We do not accommodate or supervise children or teens under the age of 18 in our classes or lobby areas.
Dress & Equipment:
Follow the academy's dress code for each class type:
Hip Hop/Beat Ya Feet: athleisure attire that is easy to move in with appropriate hip hop sneakers or tennis shoes
Jazz/Pom: tank tops/leotards, jazz pants/shorts, with jazz shoes (athleisure is also acceptable)
Contemporary/Horton/Modern/Praise Dance: tank tops/leotards, leggings or form-fitting shorts, with ballet slipper, soft-sole dance shoe, or barefoot (athleisure is also acceptable)
Heels: tank tops/leotards, jazz pants/shorts/leggings, with dance heels or character shoes (athleisure is also acceptable)
Ballet: leotards/tank tops, skin-tone, pink, white or black ballet tights, dance skirts/pants/shorts, with skin-tone or pink ballet shoes (athleisure is also acceptable)
Bring all required equipment, shoes, or props.
Behavior & Respect:
Respect staff, instructors, fellow students, and School property.
Bullying, disruptive behavior, or unsafe activity is prohibited.
Positive communication and sportsmanship are expected at all times.
No foul language, discrimination, harassment, or unsafe behavior.
Maintain positive energy and encourage others during classes and events.
Health, Safety & Care for Facilities:
Students should not attend class if sick or injured unless cleared by a medical professional.
We do not accommodate or supervise children or teens under the age of 18 in our classes or lobby areas.
No running in hallways, misuse of equipment, or actions that could endanger self or others.
Report any damaged equipment, spills, or hazards immediately to academy staff.
Keep all areas tidy: remove trash, store personal items in designated areas, and clean any equipment used.
Students and families should follow posted rules regarding personal belongings and studio upkeep.
Media Release & Prohibitions:
By registering, students/guardians grant the academy permission to use photos/videos taken during class or events for promotional purposes.
Unauthorized filming, photography, or commercial use of the studio space or Woolfolk Academy of Dance’s brand is prohibited.
Woolfolk Academy of dance does not share captured media with students who participate in classes, workshops or master classes. Only students who have paid and participated in Media Day will receive videos or photos from our school. Please check our websites or social media plaforms for possible publishing of in-class media.
The academy will respect privacy requests when notified prior to class, on the waiver release form (found under the about tab).
Lost, Stolen & Broken Personal Belongings:
Woolfolk Academy of Dance is not responsible for any lost, stolen or broken personal items. WAD does not have a lost and found, and will not store any items that are left behind.
Acknowledgement of Risks & Liability:
All participants must complete the waiver release form prior to their first class (found under the about tab).
Participation in dance classes, rehearsals, performances, and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Physical injury (sprains, strains, bruises, broken bones)
Accidental collisions with other participants or objects
Slips, trips, or falls within the studio space or event locations
Risks associated with use of props, equipment, or technical/production materials
Agreement to Terms of Conditions, Policies and Requirements:
By participating in classes at Woolfolk Academy of Dance, all parties agree to abide by the academy's policies. Violations may result in disciplinary action, suspension, or termination of enrollment or registration.
