FAQ's

What if my child does not want to go to camp?

Please talk to us if your child is anxious about camp or saying they don't want to go. We will work with you to ensure the best outcome for your child.

If for any reason, your child cannot attend camp they can come to school as usual and join in with a Year 3/4 class.

Can I visit my child at camp?

Short answer, no.

There are a few reasons why:

Can my child call me while at camp?

As above, camp is a time for kids to be fully present in the activities, make new friends, and develop new independence. Phone calls to home may help with homesickness but most of the time they make those feelings worse.

What happens if my child doesn’t like the food?

The food at camp is amazing and as experienced school camp caterers, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Teachers will monitor that children are eating. They will not go hungry!

What happens if my child gets sick or injured?

All teachers and camp staff are first aid trained. In the event of illness or injury, the process is the same as if your child was at school. We will call the parents and take the necessary steps to ensure everyone is safe.

What happens if there’s a family emergency and I need to pick my child up early?

It would be the same process as if your child was at school. Please contact the office who will get in touch with staff at the camp immediately.

Can my child bring a phone/device/smart watch?

No. Please do not bring these to camp.

Are all camp parents police vetted?

Yes. The school will carry out its own Police Vetting procedures as per our policy. We will submit a Vetting Service Request & Consent Form on behalf of each camp parent.

What gear will I need?

A gear list will be available soon. Please make sure that your child is involved in packing. They should know where everything is in their bag. As for the type of bag - any suitcase or pack will do but it should be 1 single piece of luggage. Your child should be able to carry or wheel it by themselves.
