The real reason I got into coaching was because of my students. My first year teaching at Woodland High School I had some pretty amazing students. I had zero robotics experience but when the previous coach asked me to join I couldn't refuse. I love STEM and I love my students so it seemed like the perfect fit.

I think my favorite memory was the bus ride home after we had just found out we were going to State. The bus was buzzing with excitement and our team spent the entire time coming up with a game plan for the next two weeks to prepare for State. I felt so proud of my team in those moments.
