Parent Volunteers
General Volunteer Information and Perks
*The number of matches volunteers will be asked to work depends on the number of parents who volunteer per position.
*The head coach will create the schedule and email it to parents. It will also be available on the volleyball website.
*Parents will be responsible for working all matches scheduled on days they are assigned to work.
For weeknight matches, this means the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade matches. Volunteers need to arrive by 4:45 PM. If you cannot arrive by 4:45 PM, the parent is responsible for finding someone to cover their spot until he/she arrives.
*Volunteers are responsible for finding substitutes if necessary.
*Each volunteer will receive free admission to home events he/she is working. This includes weeknight matches and tourneys.
Exceptions: The booster representative, event coordinator, concession coordinator, and team parents receive free admission to all home events as the responsibilities associated with these jobs are completed when matches do not occur (for the most part).
Volunteer Position Descriptions
*Booster Representative (1) - attends monthly booster meetings and manages the volleyball booster account
*Event Coordinator (1) - plans team events with the support of the team parents (8th Grade Night, Banquet, fundraisers)
*Concession Coordinator (1) - makes sure concession stand is fully stocked and delivers, collects, and counts money box for all home events
*8th Grade Team Announcer (1) - announces rosters for 8th Grade Night
*Team Parent (1 per team) - helps plan and manage 8th Grade Night, Banquet, and fundraisers
*Bookkeeper (1 per team) - keeps official book at home, away, and tournament matches
*Clock (1 per team) - keeps official clock at home, away, and tournament matches
*Libero Tracker (1 per team) - keeps official libero tracking sheet at home, away, and tournament matches
*Line Judge (2 per team) - line judges at home, away, and tournament matches
*Gate (3 per team) - takes gate money at home matches
*Concessions (2 per team) - works the concession stand at home matches
