Game Day Rules
1. Game Day Attire
What should I wear to school?
Home and Away Matches - all players
Home Matches: Dress Up or decision decided by coaches.
Away Matches: Team Travel Suit with t-shirt decided by 8th grade team.
Which jersey should I wear?
EVERYONE SHOULD ALWAYS BRING BOTH!
Home Matches: White/Grey
Away Matches: Black
2. Be on time for away game and tournament departures. All departure times are listed on the team calendar.
- Players are expected to arrive 10 minutes before the bus departure time.
- Bud departure times will be added to Team Google Calendar.
3. Players are allowed to ride home from AWAY MATCHES with their parents or another adult designated on the bus transportation waiver form after their respective team plays. The adult must check with the coaching staff and sign that he/she is taking the player before leaving.
- Players must help with warm ups for the match immediately following the one they played in before being allowed to leave.
- If a player leaves before completing warm up duties or without a parent signing her out, the player will sit out the first set of the next match.
4. ALL players are expected to participate with home match set up, warm-up, and tear down responsibilities.
Set up and tear down responsibilities will rotate between teams for home matches. The jobs are as follows:
Crew 1: gate table, score table, clock, microphone, 2 game balls, 2 flags, book, bleacher trash
Crew 2: bench chairs, score table chairs, gate chairs, water cooler and towel, locker room trash
Crew 3: net, referee stand, sweep floor, 2 ball carts (12 balls in each), lock equipment room
Warm-Up Duties: Players assigned to cover warm-up duties must be on Woodford's bench as soon as the captains' meeting begins.
6th grade players assist during 7th grade warm-ups.
7th grade players assist during 8th grade warm-ups.
8th grade players assist during 6th grade warm-ups.
Failure to be Punctual and Assist with Player Duties
- 1st offense: warning
- 2nd offense: sit out 1 set
- 3rd offense: sit out 1 match
- 4th offense: sit out all matches remaining during the season
5. ALL players are expected to be present for ALL 6th, 7th, and 8th grade home matches to show support for their teammates.
- Exceptions to this rule may be made by the head coach for academic reasons or emergency situations.
- Requests for exceptions should be kept to a bare minimum.
- Players must help with warm ups for the match immediately following the one they played in even if an exception has been granted.
