Tryout Information
Who may participate in tryouts?
Any female athlete currently enrolled at WCMS or WCHS entering 7th through 12th grade is eligible to try out.
If you are transferring to Woodford County High School, please contact the head coach prior to July 15th as additional paperwork may be required. ALL transfer students must be officially enrolled at WCMS or WCHS to tryout.
What do I need to know about tryouts and if my daughter makes the team?
When:
ALL 7th-9th grade players: July 15th, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM
Players should be dropped off by 5:45 to make sure all required forms have been submitted and help set up equipment.
All 10th-12th grade players (and invited 7th-9th grade players): July 16th, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM

Where: WCHS gym
Rosters: Rosters will be posted on the appropriate roster pages of this website.
Freshmen roster posted by 11:00 PM on July 15th.
Players with an asterisk (*) by their name are invited to tryout for JV and Varsity on July 16th.
JV/V rosters will be posted by 11:00 PM on July 16th.
Times each player needs to attend practice on Wednesday will be listed in parentheses next to each player's name on the roster. Each player needs to arrive 15 minutes before the listed time to help set up.
May parents watch tryouts?
Tryouts are closed to parents to ensure the best performance of each player trying out.

First practices:
Freshmen: July 17th from 5:45-7:15 PM
JV: July 17th from 5:45-7:15 PM
V: July 17th from 4:15-5:45 PM
arrive 15 minutes early for all practices
What is required to participate in tryouts?
1 REQUIREMENT which must be submitted digitally to the head coach PRIOR to the first day of participation
10 REQUIREMENTS which must be emailed to the head coach PRIOR to the first day of participation
Copy of Current Insurance Card
Self-Carry/Self-Administration of Medication
Only submit if the player takes prescribed medication.
This includes an inhaler for asthma.
Student Event Transportation Release Agreement Form
List EACH Individual Adult who has permission to transport your player during the season.
You may not write "all volleyball parents" as each person needs to be listed specifically by name.
If you submitted these forms to participate in open gyms, don't re-submit them unless the information has expired or changed.
All paperwork must be emailed to the head coach in a single PDF prior to tryouts.
