We left campus at 4:30am and arrived at Dulles with plenty of time to grab a leisurely breakfast and relax at our gate. The flight was great, and we even arrived in San José about 25 minutes ahead of schedule.
We were stuck in the airport for quite a while, but once we left, we were greeted by our friend Carolina from the CEC. We grabbed some lunch and enjoyed some typical food before heading to the hotel.
We're staying one night in the capital of San José before our 3-hour journey to Monteverde tomorrow. Tonight we mainly relaxed. Carolina also provided the students with an orientation session about what to expect at the school and from the homestays. Hopefully they're now feeling more prepared for their new adventures.
Some of the boys enjoyed some time at the pool and hot tub.
Finally, we enjoyed a late dinner in the hotel restaurant. We'll be going to bed early after a night of limited sleep and a long day of travel. Our amazing CEC representative Carolina is shown at the front right.
