National [Official]: The permit has been secured and the Women's March on Washington (January 21, 2017) will begin at the intersection of Independence Ave and Third Street SW near the US Capitol.

Securing and then announcing a location for the WMW means we've overcome the biggest hurdles in the permit process. We will continue to work closely with all of the relevant police entities, over the coming weeks, to ensure a safe march with all logistics in place to accommodate the number of people we anticipate convening.

For security reasons, we will not release any further details about the march route until a later date.

Massachussets [Official]: Our goal is to get 10,000 diverse women and allies from Massachusetts to and from the march safely.

Here are some brief updates on organizing efforts, etc.

TIME

Rally begins at 10:00 am EST at the intersection of Independence Ave and Third Street SW near the US Capitol and the march begins at 1:00 pm EST.

Click here for a downloadable map. For security reasons, we will not release any further details about the march route until a later date. Route maps will be available once plans are finalized.

STATE ORGANIZING EFFORTS

We have a state leadership and organizing structure in place to help streamline communications re: busses and march plans.

There is a lead for each county and several of the large cities (Boston, Cambridge, Quincy, Jamaica Plain).

Please visit our Getting to the march page to connect with a local group in your area.

NATIONAL PERMITTING PROCESS

The national organizers have met with the Capitol Police, the DC Police, and the National Parks Service and have a unified March Plan.

The unified plan is an important step in the multi-staged permitting process.

A next step is for the organizers to meet with National Security and DC Metro particularly as it relates to safety and transportation.

Route maps will be available once plans are finalized.
