Good readers are always thinking about their reading. Stop and ask yourself who and what while reading. If you are not sure or can't remember go back and reread.
When you get stuck on a word; look for chunks you know in the middle of the word.
Good readers are always thinking about their reading. If something doesn't seem right, ask yourself three questions; does it look right? does it sound right? does it make sense? If the answer is no to any of these questions, back up and try again.
Sometimes readers get stuck and can't sound out the word. Readers can try skipping the word. Skip the word, read to the end of the sentences and think what would make sense.
