Gifted and Talented Instruction Topics 

Listed below are some of the topics we will be learning at each grade level. We will spend longer on some topics than on others.  Where possible, students will go on field experiences to engage with the topics in other ways. New topics may be introduced throughout the year as well.

6th Grade:  Psychology, Space Exploration, Aerospace Engineering, Global Architecture, Crime Scene Investigation, Comparative Anatomy, and Geology. 

5th Grade: Ancient Egypt, Ancient China,  Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, and Mesoamerican Civilizations-Inca, Mayan, Aztec.

4th Grade: Landscapes/Seascapes, Self-Portrait/Native Americans, Tchaikovsky/The Nutcracker, Inventions/Inventors, Sculptures/Still Life, Impressionism, Modern Art

3rd Grade: Water, Sand/Seashells, Consumerism/Advertising, Coral/Coral Reefs, Sharks/Marine Mammals, System/Space

2nd Grade: Mammals, Amphibians, Reptiles/Prehistoric Creatures, Insects, Birds

1st Grade: Plants, Trees & Seeds/Environmental, Self-Awareness, Human Body/Senses, STEAMing Through Fairy Tales

Kindergarten: Winter Animals, Self-Awareness, Seasons/Time, and Seasonal Activities that will be incorporated throughout the school year
