Verification Process

Purpose: Verification is intended to improve the accuracy of the information submitted on the FAFSA. Students sometimes make errors on their application, verification is a process for verifying applications and making corrections. The Department of Education selects which applications are to be verified, but you also have the authority to verify additional students. No aid will be disbursed until a student's verification is complete.

Goal: Ensure accuracy of every FAFSA selected for verification and make sure they are completed in a timely manner.
