Casting Note: Casting and participation in Stars & Stripes Theatre productions are dependent upon attendance and the adherence to all policies (grades, behavior, etc.) outlined in the Student Handbook. Students must maintain a G average to participate and they can be removed at any time if their grade falls below or because of behavior. Also, please let the production team know if there are schedule conflicts as soon as possible. Students are expected to attend all rehearsals they are called for unless prior approval has been given. Failure to do so can result in dismissal from the show.

Also, if a cast member is absent from a rehearsal within ten (10) days of the performance dates, without specific approval from the Director because of extenuating circumstances, he or she will not be performing in the show. Attending rehearsals is critical to his or her, and others self-confidence on stage. Absences during rehearsals/performances will jeopardize the cast member’s participation in the show.

Once upon a time... Talking frogs? A falling sky? A town full of confused folk? What is really happening and who can answer these questions? The frogs? The three maids? The librarian? The coach? The Mayor and town council? The sweet and smart-thinking Rachel? With songs, dance, and a fast moving script, Thwacked! unfolds to reveal these and many other delightful characters as they attempt to unravel the mystery in a fairytale world.

WMA’s Stars & Stripes Theatre - Grades 2, 3 and 4.

On March 14, 15 & 16, 2024 Stars & Stripes Theatre will present Thwacked - A Fractured Fable of Frogs, Folks and Falling Skies which will feature WMA Second, Third and Fourth graders!!!!!

Any student in grades two through four may register between now and Monday, November 27, 2023. We do work as much as possible with We Not Me to minimize schedule conflicts so students can participate in both activities. Lead audition forms are due Monday, December 4, 2023 for 3rd and 4th graders and auditions will be Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 3:00 PM to approximately 5:00/5:30 PM depending on the number of students auditioning.  Call Back Auditions will be scheduled if necessary. Only 3rd and 4th graders will be auditioning for lead roles and/or to be lead dancers. 2nd graders will be ensemble members. 

3rd and 4th Graders DO NOT have to audition for a Lead Role or Lead Dancer to be in the show.  They will still be in the show as a member of the Ensemble if they choose not to audition for a Lead part. Only children who are interested in performing a Lead Role or Lead Dancer need audition on Tuesday, December 12th.  More information and materials will be following after you have registered your child for participation with General Registration.  Here is the General Schedule.  The schedule is subject to change.
