FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.

1. To be an integral part of the organized instructional programs in agricultural education which prepare students for a wide range of careers in agriculture, agribusiness, and other agriculture-related occupations.

To strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and in their work by developing desirable work habits and the effective usage of their time; by learning to assume responsibility; and by developing competencies in communications, human relations, and other social abilities leading to the intelligent choice of a career and successful employment or entrepreneurship in the agricultural industry.

About Us...
Welcome to the official website of the West Lyon FFA Chapter. Our school is located in Northwest Iowa among corn fields and the four small towns; Inwood, Larchwood, Alvord and Lester. Our chapter has very involved students that are passionate about the agricultural industry. We are active in FFA sanctioned competitions and have many students working hard on their SAE's. (Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs) are practical projects that FFA members complete to apply their classroom learning to real-world situations) We are so lucky to be surrounded by a community that is very involved in the agricultural industry and we are appreciative for their support. We are primarily self funded, with fundraising initiatives to support future projects, trips, and growth in our chapter like our annual FFA soup supper.
