The custom of Qurbani/Udhiyah/Zabiha, a sacred act of sacrifice that commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's (AS) steadfast adherence to Allah's (SWT) command, is at the core of Eid ul Adha. We encourage you to take part in our Qurbani Program.
Our committed staff makes sure that every step of the process—from choosing the animals to performing the sacrifice and distributing the meat—is done to the greatest standards and Islamic values, upholding the purity of this auspicious deed.
You can sponsor a Qurbani for yourself, your family, or anyone else. You can also give a Qurbani on behalf of the deceased.
In 2024, a donation of $300 covered the purchase and sacrifice of a lamb or goat, while $250 covered one share of a cow. The donation covers the cost of cutting, cleaning, packaging, storing, and distributing the meat to families in need.
Every year, Wakil Lawang Orphans and Widows distributes qurbani meat to hundreds of families throughout Afghanistan. Please donate or sponsor a Qurbani/Udhiya share to alleviate hunger and bring joy to those less fortunate.
