Students

Dear students,

As your new school counselor, I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with you all. I wish we could meet in person but I know the time will come. *Patience* For now, I want you to know that I am happy to meet with you virtually. If you have been having a hard time or need someone to talk to & would like to meet with me, we can schedule an appointment to meet through Zoom. I can't promise that I will solve your problems, but I can promise you won't have to face them alone. In order to get in contact with me you can do it one of 3 ways...

  1. Answer the questions on this form & submit (Click Here!) I will contact you after I take a look at the form

  2. Tell your parent/caregiver to contact me (they can click on the parent tab on this website)

  3. Bring up your concern to your teacher & ask her to connect us

Do my parents have to know?

As your school counselor, I work closely with parents, families, teachers, and other school staff to support you. If you receive counseling, I will have to get permission from your parent. Don't worry, I can help you with that! The first time we meet we can talk about how we can involve your parents in a way that you feel comfortable. I want you to be able to talk openly with me so what you share during counseling stays between us unless you share...

  1. Someone has been hurting you,

  2. You plan to hurt someone else,

  3. You want to hurt yourself,

  4. You give me permission to share

In that case, I will have to share that information because keeping you safe will always be my number one priority.
